DETAILED TOUR PROGRAMME
DAY 1: DELHI/ MUMBAI – JAMMU (BY FLIGHT/ TRAIN)JAMMU – KATRA (45 KM/ 1 ½ HRS)
Catch your flight or train for Jammu. Arrive in Jammu and meet with our representative with garland welcome. Later drive to Katra, a holy city for devotee of Mata Vaishnodevi. Check into the hotel & relax. Overnight stay in Katra.
DAY 2: KATRA – MATA VAISHNODEVI DARSHAN – KATRA (14 KM TREK ONE WAY/ 5-6 HRS)NOTE: HELICOPTER SERVICE ALSO AVAILABLE.
Arrive in Mata Vaishnodevi & perform all Pooja & rituals & return back to Katra and check into the hotel & relax. Evening free for walking. Overnight stay in Katra.
Note: if you want to go Mata vaishnodevi by trekking then on the same day you will have to start for trekking (14 Km one way & takes 5-6 Hrs). Although Helicopter service is also available from Katra
DAY 3: KATRA – PAHALGAM (270 KM/ 6-7 HRS)
After breakfast drive to Pahalgam and enjoy scenic beauty of Kashmir Valley. Pahalgam is not a mere hill-station. It is a recreation resort. It is like going into the lap of nature to do many things. You want to have a romantic trip with your beloved, want to get together with you family, and have what they call a 'quality' family time, you want to do those little interesting things with the family and kids, like take a pony ride, just picnic next to a beautiful river, just lie down under the sun next to your 'hut' with fresh breeze blowing, and read a book, or have a game of cards. Go to a cosy market and have a cup of coffee or shop some of the exquisite of Kashmiri handicraft. Overnight stay in Pahalgam.
DAY 4: PAHALGAM
After breakfast, take a long walk to Aru Valley along river Lidder and past old wooden housed villages at Mondlan. Here you have good option for Picnic lunch in the open nature of Aru. Meet the shepherds called Gujjars, Bakarvals & Pohls, grazing their folks of sheeps, buffalos, goats, and horses. Also see the Old temples & enjoy number of activities like horse or pony riding, fishing, trekking and Golf play are possible in Pahalgam. In the evening, return back to your hotel in Pahalgam. Overnight in Pahalgam.
DAY 5: PAHALGAM - GULMARG (135 KM/ 4 HRS)
Morning after breakfast drive to Gulmarg (the meadow of flowers), nestled with stunning peaks in the Himalayan ranges. Gulmarg has one of the best Ski slopes in the world and highest golf course of the world with 18 holes. It is a spectacular picnic spot below the snowy peak of Nanga Parbat, the fifth highest mountain in the world. On arrival check into the hotel & relax. After lunch there are opportunities for lovely walks, a game of golf on one of the highest courses in the world, pony riding & experience cable car for breathtaking view of the valley. Overnight in Gulmarg.
DAY 6: GULMARG
After breakfast enjoy your full day in & around Gulmarg. Full day at leisure activities. Overnight stay in Gulmarg.
DAY 7: GULMARG – SRINAGAR (56 KM / 2 HRS DRIVE)
After breakfast enjoy morning walk in this beautiful Hill station of Kashmir. Laterv return back to Hotel for check out.
Drive to Srinagar and on arrival in Srinagar check into the hotel/ Houseboat. Evening free for leisure. Overnight stay in Houseboat/ Hotel.
DAY 8: SRINAGAR – SONMARG – SRINAGAR (87 KM / 3 HRS DRIVE ONE WAY)
Morning after breakfast enjoy full day excursion to beautiful hill resort Sonmarg (the meadow of gold). The drive to Sonmarg h gives another spectacular aspect of country side in Kashmir, this time in Sindh Valley. The Sindh Valley is the largest tributary of the valley of Kashmir. Sonmarg , surrounded by breathtaking glaciers and serene lakes, is a snow covered beautiful flower-laden meadow in the majestic Himalayan mountain region. Enjoy the eye catching picturesque & take a delightful walk to the Thajwas Glacier. Later drive back Srinagar and transfer to deluxe houseboat for dinner and overnight stay. Overnight in House Boat/Hotel in Srinagar.
DAY 9: SRINAGAR
Morning after breakfast enjoy the visit of World famous Mughal garden, the name Mughal Gardens is given for the combination of three renowned gardens namely the Nishat Bagh, Shalimar Gardens and Chashmashahi are beautifully decorated with bright flowerbeds, terraced lawns and well maintained cascading fountains with the panoramic view of the Dal Lake.
Nishat Bagh (The garden of pleasure, commands a magnificent view of the lake and the snow capped Pir Panjal mountain range), Shalimar Bagh (Abode of love, built by Emperor Jehangir for his wife Nur Jehan) & the Chesme Shahi (the Royal Spring was laid by Shah Jahan in 1632 & famous for a spring of refreshment digestive water) & The Pari Mahal,a school of astrology founded by Prince Dara Shikoh,Emperor Shah Jahan's eldest. The Cheshma Shahi-Pari Mahal area has been developed into a Tourist Village. Overnight in House Boat/Hotel.
