DETAILED TOUR PROGRAMME:
DAY 1: ARRIVE UDAIPUR BY FLIGHT / TRAIN
Arrive Udaipur (the city of dawn) & meet our representative with garland welcome and transfer to hotel & relax. Udaipur was chosen for its natural beauty, abundant water & natural protection afforded by the surrounding forests & Aravali mountains. It is also known as the "City of Lakes". Undoubtedly one of the most romantic cities in India.
Afternoon enjoy the sightseeing of Udaipur including City Palace, a majestic architectural marvel towering over the lake & the largest palace complex in Rajasthan. At the nearby, visit Jagdish Temple built in 1651. At Sunset enjoy a boat ride around Lake Pichola, which offers spectacular views of the hills, palaces, temples & bathing ghats. Evening take a short walk in the colorful market of Udaipur. O/n in Hotel.
DAY 2: UDAIPUR-MOUNT ABU (185 Km / about 4 hrs drive)
Morning after breakfast, drive to Mount Abu, the only hill station in Rajasthan. Mount Abu is nestled in the pleasant surroundings of lush forested hills of coniferous trees & flowering shrubs – a green oasis in the desertscape. On arrival in Mount Abu, check into the hotel & relax. Later enjoy the visit of beautifully carved Delwara Jain Temple built by marble in between 11th and 13th century A.D., dedicated to the Jain Tirthankaras. Later visit the Gaumukh temple (a natural spring flowing through a sculpted cow’s head gives the shrine its name), Honeymoon Point – offers an enchanting view of the verdant plains & valleys. In the last enjoy boat ride in Nakki Lake, a tiny lake picturesquely set amid hills. While boating you see strange rock formations around the lake, notable one is the Toad Rock which looks like a real toad about to jump into the lake. Later back to hotel & relax. O/n in Hotel.
DAY 3: MOUNT ABU – JODHPUR (260 Km / 5-6 hrs drive approx)
Morning after breakfast, drive to Jodhpur. Jodhpur is the second largest city in the Rajasthan. It is called the Gateway to Thar, as it is literally on the edge of the Thar Desert. It is also called the “Sun City” as the sun shines very bright. It is also referred to as the “Blue City” due to the blue-painted houses around the Fort. Jodhpur is a historic city and it was founded by Rao Jodha, a chief of the Rathore clan in the year 1459 AD & it is named after him.
On arrival, check into the hotel & relax. In the late afternoon enjoy the visit of colourful market of Jodhpur & see the tiny shops line both sides of the narrow lanes in these markets. You can find textiles, silver, handicrafts, aromatic spices, vegetables and Indian sweets in these shops. Later back to hotel & relax. O/n in Hotel.
DAY 4: JODHPUR-DELHI BY TRAIN
Morning after breakfast, enjoy the sightseeing of Jodhpur, including the Majestic Mehrangarh Fort. The fort is located in the heart of the old city on 125-metre high & over 5km wide hill. Its walls, which are up to 36 meters high and 21 meters wide. After that visit Jaswant Thada (also known as Taj Mahal of Jodhpur), within the main cenotaph are the portraits of various Jodhpur rulers. It is an architectural landmark of Jodhpur. Later in the evening transfer to Railway station to board train for Delhi.
